TeamSupport, the award-winning B2B customer support, success and engagement software company, is seeking a People Operations Manager for our Berlin office.
The People Operations Manager facilitates the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and benefits administration of employees at TeamSupport. This role has a combined focus on recruitment, talent, business, and internal communications. The role reports to the head of human resources in the United States.
What you’ll do:
Manage our talent strategy in Berlin, including recruitment, hiring, engagement, onboarding, development, and employee administration.
Work with leadership to clarify job specifications and understand the nature of the need and modify job descriptions as appropriate.
Support TeamSupport hiring managers in their recruiting efforts, facilitating the entire process from intake to onboarding.
Work with outside recruitment partners to facilitate candidate sourcing.
Manage and maintain an exceptional candidate experience throughout the full recruitment life cycle, conduct all initial calls with candidates, facilitate candidate advancement, schedule interviews, and support the offer process.
Conduct proactive outreach via LinkedIn, email, and any other effective channels to attract hard to find talent.
Leverage our employee referral program to bring in qualified candidates and engage the team in our hiring process.
Meet regularly with hiring managers to check in on the health and priorities of active positions.
Manage job postings and job boards, sponsored and unsponsored.
Effectively work with other members of the talent team to transition candidates from hiring to onboarding stages.
Support diversity initiatives and help drive fair hiring decisions, identifying and eliminating bias wherever possible.
Onboarding: run our world-class recruiting and onboarding program from requisition request to candidate experience to careers site optimization.
Ensure the administrative details of employment run optimally, staying aware of compliance and best practices.
Payroll: Collect data for monthly Berlin payroll and work with our outside payroll company to ensure timely and accurate payroll. Assist employees with any issues or questions they have about payroll or how to read their payslip.
Benefits administration: Manage the contracts we have (mostly in German) with vendors including: BVG (transport), hire anniversary gifts, workstation set up and improvement program.
German paperwork: read incoming post and distribute accordingly, assist new hires with statements of intent for visa applications, German confirmations of employment, translating job descriptions and reference letters into German, assisting new employees with paperwork for initiating work in Germany, staying on top of German employment laws, and being available to take calls in German.
Be a go-to person for questions never too big or too small, from benefits inquiries to career development.
Track and report on location-specific engagement, ensuring consistent follow up.
Handle employee relations issues utilizing best practice, taking the opportunity to learn from situations and prevent future issues.
Assist with recognition programs and deploying these to our Berlin teams.
Oversee and design location-specific company activities including events, parties and other celebrations.
3+ years HR management experience in a fast-moving environment with a growing organization.
Full cycle recruitment experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.
Fluent in German and English (reading, writing and speaking).
Knowledge of German employment laws and regulations.
Willingness to work at the Berlin office when necessary, with a minimum of 2 days per week.
Experience leading the talent acquisition function as well as handling requisitions of your own.
The ability to see the forest through the trees - you value the details while understanding how they do or don’t affect the big picture.
A capacity and desire to learn and learn quickly and a relentless optimism.
The ability to establish relationships with all levels of an organization, listening and gauging needs effectively.
A sincere enthusiasm for talking to people, learning their stories, and helping them find their best career.
Experience working with remote teams.
